Integrase Inhibitor
Views: 170

An Intergrase Inhibitor is a drug used in HIV / AIDS therapy that prevents the virus from integrating its DNA with that of a host's cells, thus short-circuiting its ability to replicate itself.

This new class of drugs, Intregrase Inhibitors, were announced in 2006, and are expected to gain FDA approval by mid-2007.
