The digestive system is made up of several organs.  Each organ is adapted to carry out certain functions.

The human digestive system is made up of the following:

The mouth, teeth, tongue, and the salivary glands.  Included are the esophagus, stomach, the liver and gall bladder and pancreas.  From here are found the small and large intestines and the appendix, rectum and anus.
