Garden of Healing® Trademarks Information about Our Trademarks Garden of Healing has trademarks related to its products. Please use our marks according to these rules: The first use of all Garden of Healing® trademarks in text must be immediately followed by a registered trademark symbol ® and then a generic noun. Second and later uses of GOH® trademarks can drop the registered trademark symbol ® but must still be followed by a generic noun. All Garden of Healing® trademarks must be used only as proper adjectives, not as nouns. For example: Correct GOH® Nutritionals(tm) Garden of Healing® Nutritionals(tm) Garden of Healing® Nutritional Sense(tm) Incorrect GOH Nutritionals Garden of Healing Nutritionals Garden of Healing Nutritional Sense USE OF Garden of Healing® REGISTERED AND UNREGISTERED MARKS IN TEXT Use the exact form of the GOH® trademarks. Do not change the form of the trademark. Some marks use a design in a word, or words, with a particular arrangement of lower case and upper case letters, or a particular type font. Always use only the particular design of lower and upper case letters or type font of the mark. For all GOH® trademarks, registered and unregistered, a generic noun must always follow each use of the mark. This includes the use of a mark in the body of text, paragraph headings, charts, figures, tables, banners and headlines. Only when using a GOH® mark in a column heading of a table and space is severely limited, may the generic noun be omitted. We use the generic noun after a mark to emphasize the trademark nature of the word, or symbol and to reinforce our exclusive rights to our marks. The Garden of Healing® trademark is a brand mark that indicates the associated product comes from Garden of Healing or includes a product that comes from Garden of Healing, and represents the goodwill established in this product by Garden of Healing. The preferred trademark and noun for describing nutritional products is: Garden of Healing® Nutritionals(tm) and/or Garden of Healing® Nutritional Sense(tm). These are the minimum rules for the use of the trademark symbol with GOH marks. The trademark symbol may be used more often. The trademark symbol is a superscript capital letter R in a circle, "®", or a capital letter R in parenthesis, "(R)". The symbol follows the mark without a space. A space and the generic noun follow the symbol. In general, a sentence should make sense with or without the mark. The 'DO NOT' rules: Do not vary the form of any GOH® trademarks. Do not use any of the Garden of Healing® trademarks as a verb or a noun. Do not use any of the GOH® trademarks as a possessive or plural. Do not abbreviate or use a shorthand version of any of the GOH® trademarks. Do not add prefix or suffix words, numbers, or symbols as part of any of the GOH® trademarks. Do not use other devices for identifying the GOH® trademarks, such as underlining, bold or italic type font, or quotation marks that are not part of the mark. ATTRIBUTION OF THE GOH® TRADEMARKS The law provides for others to use the GOH® trademarks in referring to goods and services from Garden of Healing. We ask that you use our marks properly as trademarks or services marks and attribute the ownership of the marks to GOH. The attribution of any of the GOH® trademarks is shown in fine print indicating the word, name, symbol or device used in the literature piece is a trademark or service mark and attributing the ownership of that mark to Garden of Healing. For example, the fine print for the GOH® trademarks reads as follows: GOH, Garden of Heaing and the GOH® logo are trademarks of Garden of Healing ("Incorporated" is not used in the attribution line.) GOH® TRADEMARKS, SERVICEMARKS, AND APPROVED NOUNS The following are trademarks and servicemarks of Garden of Healing. Every trademark or servicemark is to be used as a proper adjective immediately followed by one of the recommended nouns listed under that mark.
